|A great way for self employed professionals to enhance their reputations is to write articles. But for many , the thought of writing an article calls to mind your school days of struggling to write a composition, trapped indoors while your friends played baseball without you.
Article writing doesn't have to be difficult and the rewards are great. Since I started writing articles, my website traffic increased, signups for my newsletters increased , the media has sought me out, and I've become what Stephen Van Yoder calls "slightly famous".
Here is the formula I use to write articles:
First of all, I do not see myself as a writer. You will not find me starving in a garret, suffering for my art. I see myself as a communicator. I have important and useful information to impart that can help people build successful businesses. When you look at it that way , it really takes a lot of pressure off you.
Secondly, your articles do not have to be Pulitzer Prize quality. They need to communicate information in a way your customer can relate to. If your customer is put off by high-falutin' language, don't use it. Speak in language that resonates with your customer. Remember, your intent is to communicate , not to win prizes or bludgeon others with your knowledge of polysyllabic words.
Next, start out by writing out a sentence or two (no more) that explains what you want to accomplish with your article. Your purpose is two fold: you want to establish your expertise in the eyes of your potential customers and you want those customers to do something. Here is an example for an article I am writing about how self employed professionals can enhance their reputations:
"I will write an article to give self employed professionals ideas on how to enhance their reputations which will result in more traffic to my website."
That statement causes me to focus on achieving a specific result-more traffic?by providing specific information-reputation enhancing ideas. It really is the most important part of writing an article. Without that focus I am likely to head off on a tangent.
From there, develop a main thought and support it with three or four points. Add a brief story, a website to visit for more information , or a quote from an expert (that expert can be you) and you've got your article.
Sometimes when I get writer's--I mean communicator's block. I grab my microphone and "talk" my article. This also ensures that my articles have a conversational tone instead of a boring professor monologue.
Give it a try and you'll soon be turning out articles with ease and enhancing your professional reputation.

Best man speech at wedding receptions – Let’s face it: best man speech at wedding receptions and the likes isn’t precisely up our alley. We’re great at being best buddies and being there for each other, even helping out whenever and however needed. But we don’t precisely race to volunteer when it comes to making a speech in front of who knows how many individuals, many of whom you don’t have the first idea who they may be and others whom you know too well for your own comfort.
You wonder how to write a best man speech at weddings that’s engaging, impressive and even witty and don’t upset anyone in the process? A good start can be to sit down with pen and paper and get all the memories and anecdotes you possibly can think of written down. If you’ve known one another from childhood , there ought to be a couple of funny incidences that deserve to be talked about and shine a personal light on the groom (or the bride in the event you’ve known her for a long time also). You need to discover some recollections that depict your pal well and underline his characteristics, that present who he is and who the bride is getting married to. Going over an old photo album could also be useful to trigger memories. Surely the groom’s mother will be pleased to give you an album andor memorabilia to bring back memories from the “good old days”.
When you’ve your list of recollections and likewise the things you like best about him, make one other checklist of the those that will likely be present at the nuptials that you know personally. Now, when comparing these lists , eliminate the anecdotes that have the potential to paint an individual assisting the wedding in a bad light. If the story has the potential to be hurtful or offensive to anyone present at the celebration, scratch it. The greatest joke in history is just not worth the ensuing fall-out.
Once you’ve got diminished your list (which might be all crumpled by now from all the deep pondering) to usable notes examine it once more and select the memories that show greatest who your friend is and perhaps uncover some hidden quality that is not widely identified about him (just be sure to will not get him into bother) to your finest shot at a greatest man speech at marriage ceremony celebrations.
Now you solely have put your notes into some order. I think an important starting point is to concentrate on the couple and show just a few things that make them the great couple they are and that brought them to this blissful occasion. Then bring in some anecdotes that show the bride who she’s getting hitched to. You can go on to the historic half and describe the groom in all his splendor (or attempts at it). Also weave in some good characteristics of the bride if you know her well enough. Practically present the groom to the bride as the perfect thing that could have happened to her, shine a bright l.
